When was the last time you felt stressed? If not today, I’m sure you answered within the last week. I feel stressed right now! Everyone seems to want to tell you what to do to stop feeling stressed. Workout more, practice yoga, eat better, get a different job, take a vacation. I’m all about living that fit life to help with stress. But is there anything you can just BUY that will help with stress relief? Why yes, there are a few products you can buy that will help relieve your stress.
Life Change and Pocket Change
Here at Jax Fit Life, I love helping you live a healthier, stronger, and calmer life. But sometimes we just want to put a price tag on stress relief and a little instant gratification. As country artist Chris Janson so eloquently puts it, “money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy me a boat. And it can buy me a truck to pull it.” Yes, money can buy you some stress relief and there’s no shame in it. I truly hope you will sign up for my FREE Fit Life Challenge where I believe you will take actions to live a healthier life with minimal stress. BUT I also hope that if one or more of these products can help relieve just an ounce of your stress, that you will take action and enjoy the instant gratification (or 2-day prime shipping, am I right?) of buying stress relief.
I get it, not everyone is going to take up a home yoga practice or go to a massage therapist every week.
Here you go, my top 5 Stress Relief Products
When I first encountered Essential Oils I thought they were just a good way to relax or helpful for sleep. My masseuse used them and I enjoyed it. I diffused lavender at bedtime.
But I had no idea how important essential oils are for healing and wellness. Check out more information on exactly what essential oils are!
As far as specific oils, everyone knows that Lavender is great for sleep and relaxation but there are many other oils that aid in stress relief!! Check out these oils for anxious feelings!
A few of the best oils for stress relief are bergamot, sage, cedarwood, frankincense, and roman chamomile.
It is important to use high-quality oils that have been 3rd party tested for purity. I am in love with Doterra as a whole. Their business practices are upstanding and honest and they truly care about delivering wellness to all!
If you have more questions about essential oils please feel free to comment and ask any questions you have!
I don’t sleep well. I have a hard time sleeping more than a few hours, I toss and turn and wake up wide-eyed at 3 am. There it’s out there. I’m a fitness coach who preaches how important sleep is and I really struggle with it myself. It wasn’t always this way but life hit me hard when I had babies.
I’m a mom of 2 boys that don’t sleep. They are 19 months apart and my baby just turned 1. If you do the math I haven’t slept through the night in 3 years (because who sleeps in their last trimester?) The boys are finally sleeping through the night most nights now.
But I’m not.
I started looking into sleep supplements and I knew melatonin was out of the question as it makes me feel awful and gives me weird dreams. As I looked into magnesium, it sounded like a great solution to my constant “on switch” problem.
I found Natural Calm and it helps me sleep so much better! It’s a great stress relief supplement. I actually feel like I go into a deep sleep and don’t toss and turn!
(Please check with your doctor before taking any supplements and be sure to read the label and their website for more information and for correct dosage.)
Eye strain kept me from pursuing my passions and talents and turning them into a career. As I considered what to study in college I chose to stay away from graphic design even though I knew it would be a good fit for me, simply because I got headaches from staring at screens. I didn’t want to choose a career that would make my eyes and head hurt.
Here I am at 29, pursuing those passions later in life and wishing I hadn’t waited this long. When I started my blog 4 months ago I knew eye strain might be a problem but I decided not to let that hold me back. I quickly realized the problem hadn’t gone away. The headaches and eye strain quickly came back. After staring at my computer my eyes start to ache and I start to squint (hello, wrinkles). My eyes get dry. Next comes the headache. My stomach even hurts when it gets really bad, from the stress of having a headache (I get stomach aches when I’m stressed).
I started searching for a solution to my problem because I don’t want to give up on my dream of blogging but I can’t live with this stress.
Enter, Pixel Eyewear. When I first saw these glasses, they caught my eye. They are stylish and made exactly for people like me who struggle with eye strain from looking at computer and phone screens. I knew I wanted some so I reached out to see if they were interested in having a review on my blog. They said yes!
I crossed my fingers and hoped that these glasses would bring relief so that I could live free of eye strain while pursuing my passions.
The day before my glasses arrived in the mail, I had to stop working on my blog because my eyes hurt so bad. All I could do was close my eyes and rub them for relief. I knew the glasses would be arriving soon and I decided to get back to work once they did.
After putting my boys down for their naps, I excitedly slipped on my new computer glasses, grabbed my coffee, and got to work on my blog. Several hours later I was thrilled that I wasn’t squinting, my head didn’t hurt and my eyes weren’t dry! I am amazed at how much relief I am finding by wearing these glasses. Eye strain will no longer hold me back from chasing my dreams. Here’s how they work, they filter out the harmful blue light emitted by screens and they are also anti-glare! I was worried they might prevent me from seeing my screen clearly, but when I slip them on I can’t tell any difference in the way things look.
If you struggle with sore eyes, headaches, and the stress of looking at your phone or computer you must have these glasses. They even have prescription options if you need it! I don’t need a prescription so I ordered the non-prescription computer glasses. I LOVE the way the Ventus in whiskey tortoise frames my face and looks fashionable.
If you decide to try these glasses I have a discount code for you! Save $5 with the code jaxfitlife at checkout! They also have free shipping, returns, and exchanges so there’s no reason not to try them and see how they help with your eye strain and headaches! I understand the stress that eye strain brings and I’m so excited to have a solution to this problem.
4. Epsom Salt
One of my favorite solutions to stress is a warm bath. But when I discovered Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt it took the relaxation to a whole new level! I love the coconut oil Epsom salt the most because it makes my skin so soft! They have several different salts that help with stress. Check them out here!

5. Foam Roller
We would all love to go get a massage weekly for our stress but for most of us, that’s just not practical. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get a massage at home, anytime you wanted one? Oh look, that’s exactly what the foam roller does!
In high school, I developed chronic low back pain and no doctor was able to figure out the source. I went to several specialists, chiropractors, and had many tests done. Finally, after college, I found a massage therapist that suggested consistent foam rolling. I went from being in pain 80% of the time to being pain-free. This is the foam roller I use for overall rolling. It is amazing to roll out the upper back after sitting and staring at a computer for hours!
Speaking of sitting at a computer, neck strain is the worst and this next roller, the stick, is wonderful for rolling out tightness in the neck!
If you stand and walk a lot or struggle with foot pain for another reason, this little ball is wonderful!
