New Beginnings

Last week I decided to buy the Create and Go Launch Your Blog course. I’ve been redesigning my website for the past week and learning from their course!

(My update with all of my thoughts on this course is live! Check it out!)

So far I am really enjoying this course and learning WordPress! I’m only halfway through the course and it’s flipped my site upside down! There were so many things I wasted time trying to figure out on my own and I wish I had just started my blog with this course at the beginning!

Investing in Your Business

I decided pretty quickly that I would make one more investment… this is the nature of blogging.

It’s not free and it really is a business investment. There is a risk and you HAVE to put money into it before you make any money.

It’s scary!

I bought a paid theme. It wasn’t that expensive and I really didn’t want to use a free theme and then have to redesign my site down the road. I’m so happy I went for it! I bought the Avada theme and I love my redesign!

You see, I’m not just blogging for fun, I am determined to make this a business and I am going for it! I really love doing this and I know if I set my mind to it I can make money from my blog.

Enjoy the Process

I love designing my website, I love picking out photos, and I love writing blog posts… So far this seems to really be up my alley and I’m hoping that continues. I have my days where I don’t want to work on it and I just don’t, at some point, I may have to push through and do work but for now, that’s the beauty of this endeavor, the flexibility – I can take breaks as needed.

My Vision

I want this site to be a place where I can help people from the comfort of my home. It is very important to me to have the flexibility to spend time with my family but I also want to make the most of my downtime and my talents. I love learning new things and teaching others about those things. It is very important for me to be able to contribute to my family income and this is the route I’m taking. Here we go!
